Correct

When someone talks about the Pole star, they are talking about the star Polaris. Polaris' location in the sky puts it less than a degree away from the North celestial pole. Since it is the closest star to the North celestial pole at this point in time, it is called the Pole star. It is also called the North star, because if you can find Polaris, you know which way North is.

Polaris, the North Star as seen from Canary Islands. Notice it is the only star in the sky that does not move during the night.
